West Bengal's Complacency Towards Islamic Terrorism And Its
Implications Throughout India
West Bengal, India's communist state, has now become a hotbed of
Islamic terrorism. This is mainly due the policy of Jyoti Basu's
regime which instead of punishing the Muslim terrorists invites
them into the country from neighboring Bangladesh. These illegal
aliens then vote for Basu's communist party and carry out acts of
terrorism throughout the country.
The problem has become so vast that West Bengal is now the
launching pad for carrying out subversive activities throughout
India (mainly in the north-eastern region of the country). Reports
from the Home Ministry suggest that Calcutta and neighboring
districts have witnessed an unprecedented growth of madrasas and
mosques which are used to preach Jihad (Islamic "holy"
war) against Hindus and train the terrorists for just this
purpose.
Most of these Muslim terrorists infiltrate from Bangladesh. The
security by the Indian forces is inadequate and the terrorists
have an easy time getting through. The investigations regarding
the recent hijacking of the Indian Airlines have revealed that
four of the five Muslim hijackers infiltrated India through West
Bengal from Bangladesh. They first entered Malda and Siliguri from
Bangladesh before going to Mumbai and, finally, to Kathmandu.
Once the Muslim terrorists enter West Bengal they freely plan and
mobilize their forces to carry out anti-national activities.
Intelligence reports have shown that Muslim terrorists in Jammu
and Kashmir receive a great deal of aid from Islamic agencies and
Muslim-run businesses in West Bengal. At times the Islamists in
both the states conduct their operations in tandem to maximize
their gains. It is no secret that the ISI has saturated Bangaldesh
with its agents who are working towards the sole aim of
terrorizing Hindus in India. These ISI agents use the state of
West Bengal as their gateway to enter the country.
The total lack of preparedness, complacency and cowardice shown by
Jyoti Basu's communist regime has left India open to the mercy of
these Islamic butchers. Recently, 10-12 armed Muslim thugs from
Bangladesh entered the village of Hasnabad -- a border village in
North 24-Parganas. They forcibly took ten of the villagers back to
Bangladesh as hostages and demanded the release of seven of the
dreaded Islamic terrorists captured by the Indian security forces.
These criminals support Pakistan's ISI and the Islamic cause by
running a thriving smuggling racket in sugar, salt, pulses, rice,
machine parts and even kerosene. In other words, they steal from
India and give to the ISI agents who in turn use these very same
materials to cause harm to India.
The Islamic terrorists entered Hasnabad only hours after the news
got out that the seven dreaded Bangladeshi terrorists had been
captured. They branched off in groups to different blocks of
Hasnabad and commandeered three boats to carry the villagers to
Debhata across the border. The state government and the security
forces, meanwhile inspired by the Central government's poor
handling of the hijacking of the Indian Airlines jet, did nothing!
And just like the central government caved in to the demands of
the Pakistani terrorists the West Bengal government and the BSF in
the state too caved in to the demands of the Bangladeshi
terrorists. On January 16, a flag meeting was held between the
Bangladesh Rifles and the Indian border guards and the exchange
took place.
The Indian authorities not only caved in to the demands of the
terrorists, but lied outright and said that no exchange had taken
place. At first both sub-divisional police officer, A. K. Sarkar
and sub-divisional officer Prodyut Biswas stated that they knew
nothing about the exchange. Later, when the news started spreading
the deputy inspector general of police (South Bengal) K. C. Sharma
admitted that the report was true and the exchange had taken
place, but he brushed it aside as a common and normal occurrence.
"Such things keep happening. We operate in a difficult
terrain. It's so vast that it becomes virtually impossible to plug
the entire stretch of the border. This is particularly so in the
Basirhat sector," he said.
The representatives of the Sunderban Byabsayee Samity -- a local
traders' body also say that the recent incident in Hasnabad is a
common occurrence. They said that they fear for their lives
everyday as the Islamists roam about freely in the state. The fact
that the exchange took place between the Bangladesh Rifles and the
Indian border guards is a clear indication that the Bangladeshi
army and the government of that country are hand-in-glove with the
Islamic terrorists. The irony of the situation is that a country
which owes its very existence to India now openly challenges it by
sponsoring various terrorist activities. This sorry state of
affairs was brought on by none other than the people of India and
mainly the people of West Bengal. If the people had the will to
consolidate against communism and Jyoti Basu's corrupt and
anti-national policies Bangladesh would not have even dared to
raise a finger against India.
After examining the situation in West Bengal and the rest of India
one can only arrive at a sickening conclusion: Majority of the
Indians are masochists! They enjoy the presence of Islamic
terrorists and get a thrill out of being raped and looted by them.
If this wasn't the case they would've fought tooth and nail
against these harmful forces.
However, there is still a glimmer of hope. There are still many
Indians who do not want to sell themselves as slaves to the
merchants of Islamic terror. The BJP-lead central government has
been applying pressure on West Bengal's communist regime to curb
the anti-national activities in the state. There are plans afoot
to carve out an anti-sabotage force for West Bengal which will be
an elite unit trained on the lines of Central commando forces. The
first batches would be stationed in the urban areas. Separate
smaller units would be stationed in some districts which are known
to be used by Muslim saboteurs. The state government has also been
told by the Home Ministry to modernize its intelligence agencies
which perform far below the satisfactory level.
Many official steps are being taken to destroy the net of Islamic
terrorism in the country, however these will only succeed if the
common people also join in the fight against this menace. This
means that the people have to shed their cowardice and tackle the
problem head on starting from their own locality. They have to
take a tough stance against terrorism and pressurize their elected
representatives to do the same. India will only gain victory over
Islamic terrorism when its citizens fully understand the threat
posed by it and fight against it with all their energy.
