KILL ANY MUSLIM WHO STOPS PRAYING!

From "Islamic Fatawas Concerning Women":

How Does One Behave Toward a Relative who Does Not Pray?

Question 5: 1 have a brother-in-law who rarely prays. I live with my husband's family and [the female members of] his family sit with him even if the Imam is praying. What should I
do? I am not one of his relatives (mahram). Is there any sin upon me since I do not have the ability to advise him?

Response: If he does not pray, then he is deserving to be boycotted. You should not greet him nor should you respond to his greeting, until he repents. This is because not praying is a greater form of kufr [that takes one out of the fold of Islam]. This is true even if the person does not deny that it is obligatory. This is according to the most correct opinion among the scholars. The Prophet said, "The covenant that is between us and them [the disbelievers] is the prayer. Whoever abandons it has committed blasphemy. "This was recorded by Ahmad and the compilers of the Sunan with a sound chain. The Prophet also said, "Between a man and disbelief and polytheism is the abandoning of the prayer. "This was recorded by Imam Muslim in his Sahih.

However, IF A PERSON DENIES THE OBLIGATION OF THE PRAYERS, THEN HE IS A DISBELIEVER ACCORDING TO THE CONSENSUS OF THE SCHOLARS.THEREFORE, IT IS OBLIGATORY UPON HIS FAMILY TO ADVISE HIM AND TO BOYCOTT HIM IF HE DOES NOT REPENT. IT IS ALSO OBLIGATORY TO TAKE HIS MATTER TO THE RULER FOR HIM TO BE ASKED TO REPENT.

IF HE REPENTS, [THAT IS ACCEPTED FROM HIM]. IF HE DOES NOT REPENT, HE IS TO BE KILLED. This is because Allah has said in the Quran, "But if they repent and offer prayer perfectly and give zakat, then leave their way free" (al-Tauba [9:]5).


Also, the Prophet said, "I have been prohibited from killing those who pray."

And Allah is the One who provides guidance.

EXPEL ALL NON-MUSLIMS FROM ARABIAN PENINSULA!

From "Islamic Fatawas Concerning Women": Ruling About Hiring a Non-Muslim Maid [or Servant]

Question 6: 1 sent requests asking for a maid to help my wife with her housework. I discovered, through letters, that they did not find a Muslim in the country that I wanted a maid from. Is it allowed for me to hire a non-Muslim maid?

Response: IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE A NON-MUSLIM MAID OR A NON-MUSLIM MALE SERVANT, OR A WORKER WHO IS NON-MUSLIM FOR ANYONE LIVING IN THE ARABIAN PENINSULA. THIS IS BECAUSE THE PROPHET ORDERED THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS TO BE EXPELLED FROM THAT LAND. HE ORDERED THAT ONLY MUSLIMS SHOULD BE LEFT THERE. HE DECREED UPON HIS DEATH THAT ALL POLYTHEISTS MUST BE EXPELLED FROM THIS PENINSULA.

[This nonsense comes from the following hadith, which the Great "Mufti" fails to cite: Muslim, Book 019, Number 4366: It has been narrated by 'Umar b. al-Khattib that he heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say: I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim.]

From "Islamic Fatawas Concerning Women":

RULING CONCERNING WOMEN DRIVING AUTOMOBILES

All praises are due to Allah.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his Companions and all who follow his guidance. To proceed: THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE RULING OF WOMEN DRIVING AUTOMOBILES.

The response is the following:

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT SUCH IS NOT ALLOWED.

Women driving leads to many evils and negative consequences. Included among these is her mixing with men without her being on her guard. It also leads to the evil sins due to which such an action is forbidden. The Pure Law forbids those acts that lead to forbidden acts and considers those means to be forbidden also. Allah has ordered the wives of the Prophet and the women of the believers to remain in their houses, to wear hijab and not to display their adornments to non-mahram males as that leads to promiscuity that overruns a society.

Allah has stated, "Stay in your houses and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance and offer prayer perfectly and give Zakat and obey Allah and His Messenger" (al-Ahzab [33:]33).

Allah also says, ‘O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. (al-Ahzab [33:]59)

Yet another verse states, "Tell the believing women to lower their gaze and protect their private parts and not to show off their adornments except only that which is apparent and to draw their veils over necks and bosoms and not to reveal their adornments except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their women or the (female) slaves, or old male servants who lack vigor, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful" (al-Nur [24:] 31).

The Prophet himself said, "A man is never alone with a woman except that Satan is the third. "’The Purifying Law forbids all of the causes that lead to depravity. Such depravity leads to the innocent and pure women being accused of indecencies. Allah has laid down one of the harshest punishments for such an act in order to protect society from the spreading of the causes of depravity.

Women driving cars, however, is one of the causes that lead to that. This is something obvious. But some people are ignorant of the laws of the Shariah and the evil ends that being lax lead to. When such evils are also accompanied by what has inflicted many of diseased hearts of love for promiscuity and the enjoyment of looking at women, it leads to
people jumping into this discussion without knowledge and without any consideration of the evils that are behind it.

Allah has clearly stated. "Say: The things that my Lord has forbidden are illicit acts, whether committed openly or secretly, sins [of all kinds], unrighteous oppression, joining partners [in worship] with Allah for which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allah of which you have no knowledge" (al-Araf [7:]33).

Another verse in the Quran states, "Follow not the footsteps of Satan. Verily he is to you an open enemy. [Satan] commands you only what is evil and sinful, and that you should say against Allah what you know not" (al-Baqara [2:]168-169).The Prophet said, "I have not left behind me any temptation more harmful for men than women."[See Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 3]

Hudhaifah ibn al-Yamaan said, "The people used to ask the Messenger of Allah about good but I used to ask him about evil out of fear that it may reach me. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, -we used to be living in the Times of Ignorance and Evil. Then Allah brought this good [to us].Will there be after it evil again?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'After that evil, will there be good again?' He said, 'Yes, but it will be tainted.' I said, 'How will it be tainted?' He said, 'There will be a people
who would guide without guidance, you will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others.' I said, 'Will there be evil after that good?' He said, 'Yes, there will be callers from the gates of the Hell-Fire. Whoever responds to them shall be flung into it.' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, describe them to us.' He said, 'They will be from our own people and speak our language.' I said, 'What do you order me to do if I should come across that time?' He said, 'Stick to the community of the Muslims and their leader.' I said, 'Suppose they do not have a leader or a community?' He said, 'Then separate yourself from all of those factions, even if you have to eat the roots of trees until death comes to you while you are in that state."' Recorded by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

I call upon every Muslim to fear Allah in his speech and action and to be wary of the trials and temptations. Also, be wary of those who call to such things. Everyone must remain far away from that which brings about Allah's anger or leads to it. Each must take every precaution from those callers that the Prophet has spoken about in this noble Hadith. May Allah protect us from the evil of temptation and trials and its people. May Allah protect for this Nation its religion and repel the evil of those callers to falsehood. May Allah bless and guide all the Muslims to what pleases Him and what is best for them and their success in both this life and the Hereafter. He is the One who is in Control of that and Able to do that. And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and his Companions.

The Myth of the 72 Virgins!


Muslim young men and women are bombing themselves to kill others. Why? There is only one reason behind it, they are seeing reward in heaven that is promised by Allah. Quran and Hadith both promised heaven and many virgins in heaven for those who fight for the cause of Allah (Jihaad) and kill others.

Hadith Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 80i says: - Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad) - that, Allah's Apostle said, "Allah welcomes two men with a smile; one of whom kills the other and both of them enter Paradise. One fights in Allah's Cause and gets killed. Later on Allah forgives the 'killer who also get martyred (In Allah's Cause)."

Second part of Hadith Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 48: -Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)-
.....He said, "Paradise has one-hundred grades which Allah has reserved for the Mujahidin who fight in His Cause, and the distance between each of two grades is like the distance between the Heaven and the Earth. So, when you ask Allah (for something), ask for Al-firdaus which is the best and highest part of Paradise." (i.e. The sub-narrator added, "I think the Prophet also said, 'Above it (i.e.
Al-Firdaus) is the Throne of Beneficent (i.e. Allah), and from it
originate the rivers of Paradise.")

Mr. Zulfikar Khan writes in his article, "The x-rated paradise of
Islam", "The paradise contains six important items: beautiful
virgins, young boys, water, wine, fruits and wealth."

And further he says that, "Once a follower of Islam goes to paradise he will get 72 Houris(beautiful virgins) and 28 young pre-pubescent boys."

The X-RATED PARADISE OF ISLAM

In this article I shall describe the Islamic Paradise or Jannat which was invented by Prophet Mohammed to bribe the Arabs into committing hideous crimes by promising them materialistic things which they couldn't obtain in the harsh desert. The paradise contains six important items: beautiful virgins, young boys, water, wine, fruits and wealth.

To prove my point I have taken verses from the Koran and quotes from the Hadiths.

VIRGINS (HOURIS)

Mohammed knew that sex would sell very well among the group of his lecherous followers who were motivated to fight battles by the promise of sex slaves and booty. By constantly emphasizing to his followers that they would get untouched virgins in Paradise, Mohammed is clearly expressing his "high" opinion of the institution of marriage and his fairness to women. Once the followers go to heaven, they can conveniently ditch their wives for the fresher and more pleasurable sexual encounters with 'Houris' (beautiful virgins). Not only that, the poor wives who gave up their virginity for the pleasure of their husbands do not get even one Male Sex Bomb. But wait, Allah is all merciful! He gives the wives the rare honour of watching their husbands deflower those 72 Houris (virgins) and 28 young pre-pubescent boys.

The relevant verses from the Koran are:

Koran 78:31
As for the righteous, they shall surely triumph. Theirs shall be gardens and vineyards, and high- bosomed virgins for companions: a truly overflowing cup.

Koran 37:40-48
...They will sit with bashful, dark-eyed virgins, as chaste as the sheltered eggs of ostriches.

Koran 44:51-55
...Yes and We shall wed them to dark-eyed houris. (beautiful virgins)

Koran 52:17-20
...They shall recline on couches ranged in rows. To dark-eyed houris (virgins) we shall wed them...

Koran 55:56-57
In them will be bashful virgins neither man nor Jinn will have touched before. Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?"

Koran 55:57-58
Virgins as fair as corals and rubies. Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?"

Koran 56:7-40
...We created the houris (the beautiful women) and made them virgins, loving companions for those on the right hand.. "

Koran 55:70-77
"In each there shall be virgins chaste and fair... Dark eyed virgins sheltered in their tents whom neither man nor Jin will have touched before..

In the Hadiths, Mohammed goes one step further and expands the promise of virgins to include a free sex market where there is no limit of the number of sexual partners. Women and young boys are on display as if in a fruit market where you can choose the desired ripeness.

Quote from Hadiths

Al Hadis, [Bukhari] Vol. 4, p. 172, No. 34
Ali reported that the Apostle of Allah said, "There is in Paradise a market wherein there will be no buying or selling, but will consist of men and women. When a man desires a beauty, he will have intercourse with them."



YOUNG BOYS

Homosexuality was and is widely practised in Islamic countries. To please the homosexuals among his followers he promised them pre-pubescent boys in Paradise. So after committing plunder, loot, rape and murder in this life, the followers of Islam get "rewarded" by untouched virginal youths who are fresh like pearls.

The relevant verses from the Koran are:

Koran 52:24
Round about them will serve, to them, boys (handsome) as pearls well-guarded.

Koran 56:17
Round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness.

Koran 76:19
And round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness: if thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered pearls.



As mentioned in my previous article, famous poets in Arabia glorified homosexuality. As an example I am including a poem in 'Perfumed Garden' by Abu Nuwas:

O the joy of sodomy!
So now be sodomites, you Arabs.
Turn not away from it--
therein is wondrous pleasure.
Take some coy lad with kiss-curls
twisting on his temple
and ride as he stands like some gazelle
standing to her mate.
A lad whom all can see girt with sword
and belt not like your whore who has
to go veiled.
Make for smooth-faced boys and do your
very best to mount them, for women are
the mounts of the devils


Need I say anything more after this colorful rendition by Abu Nuwas ?

WATER

One of the major problems in the desert of Arabia was shortage of pure water. Mohammed knew very well that to the Arabians, fresh water was an item of luxury. So promising them abundant pure water, river, fountains and springs in paradise would definitely lure them to murder, loot and plunder people of other religions in this life.

The relevant verses from the Koran are:

Koran 13:35
This is the paradise which the righteous have been promised: it is watered by running streams..

Koran 3:198
As for those that fear their Lord, theirs shall be gardens watered by running streams in which they will abide for ever, and a goodly welcome from God...

Koran 3:136
...These shall be rewarded with forgiveness from their Lord and with gardens watered by running streams, where they shall dwell forever. Blessed is the reward of those who do good works..

Koran 15:45
The righteous (will be) amid gardens and fountains (of clear flowing water)

Koran 22:23
As for those who have faith and who do good work, God will admit them to gardens watered by running streams..

Koran 47:15
Here is a Parable Of the Garden which the righteous are promised: In it are rivers of water incorruptible;

Koran 55:50-51
In them each will be two springs flowing free; Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?

Koran 55:66-67
In them will be Two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance: Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?

Koran 44:51-55
As for the righteous, they shall be lodged in peace together amidst gardens and fountains...

Koran 56:7-40
...They shall recline on couches raised on high in the shade of thornless Lote trees and talhs; amidst gushing water...




WINE

Mohammed had to find more selling points besides virgins, young boys and plenty of water. What good would be of Paradise without rivers of wine for his followers? Wine was an extremely precious commodity in the dry deserts of Arabia where it was rare to find vineyards. Mohammed had a problem here- he had to include wine in his 'Paradise-Package' but how could he include it in the list when Allah had declared intoxicants as sinful. The only way to do this was to somehow claim that the wine in the promised Paradise was not intoxicating and therefore not sinful. Never mind the fact that wine by nature contains alcohol which is intoxicating.
The relevant verses from the Koran are:

Koran 47:15
Here is a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised. In it are...rivers of wine...

Koran 37:40-48
But the true servants of God shall be well provided for,...they shall be served with goblet filled at a gushing fountain, white and delicious to those who drink it. It will neither dull their senses nor befuddle them.

Koran 56:7-40
They shall recline on jeweled couches face to face, and there shalt wait on them immortal youths with bowls and ewers and a cup of purest wine:

Koran 83:23-26
The righteous will surely dwell in bliss. Reclining upon soft couches they will gaze around them: and in their faces you shall mark the glow of joy. They shall be given a pure wine to drink, securely sealed, whose very dregs are musk...



FRUITS

So far Mohammed has presented a very appetizing picture of Paradise, but then it struck him that sex is no fun on an empty stomach. Besides that one needs lots of nutrition in order to have the energy to perform with so many Houris and young boys. The prophet was an expert on this subject having honoured every one of his numerous wives and mistresses with a nightly visitation on one single night. Besides the only fruits he had ever gotten to taste in this life was some dates and dry pomegranates. So heaven had to be furbished with an inexhaustible supply of every variety of fruits.
The relevant verses from the Koran are:

Koran 13:35
This is the paradise which the righteous have been promised.. eternal are its fruits, and eternal are its shades..

Koran 37:40-48
But the true servants of God shall be well provided for, festing on fruit and honoured in the gardens of delight...

Koran 43:68-73
...Such will be the garden of which ye are made heirs for your deeds. Ye shall have therein abundance of fruit, from which ye shall have satisfaction.

Koran 47:15
Here is a Parable Of the Garden which the righteous are promised: ...In it are rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; And rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; And grace from their Lord..

Koran 55:47-49
Containing all kinds of trees and delights. Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?

Koran 55:52-53
In them there will be fruits of every kind, two and two. Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?

Koran 55:54-55
...The fruit of the gardens will be near and easy to reach. Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?

Koran 55:68-69
In them will be Fruits, And dates and pomegranates: Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?

Koran 44:51-55
...Secure against all ills, they shall call for every kind of fruit..

Koran 56:7-40
They shall recline on jeweled couches face to face, and there shalt wait on them immortal youths with ...fruits of their own choices and flesh of fowls that they relish..

Koran 76:13-21
...Reclining there upon soft couches, they shall feel neither the scorching heat nor the biting cold. Trees will spread their shade around them, and fruits will hang in clusters over them...

But the best was yet to come. The highlight of life in Islamic Paradise is the fact that one doesn't have to go to the toilet. All merciful Allah had miraculously provides a much better system for getting rid of body waste. You simple sweat it out (probably after all that sex or belch after consuming all that fruit and wine)

Quote from the Hadiths:

Sahih Muslim Book 39, Number 6798, Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:

I heard Allah's Apostle (pbuh) as saying that the inmates of Paradise would eat and drink but would neither spit, nor pass water, nor void excrement, nor suffer catarrh. It was said: Then, what would happen with food? Thereupon he said: They would belch and sweat (and it would be over with their food), and their sweat would be that of musk and they would glorify and praise Allah as easily as you breathe."



WEALTH

Mohammed wanted to ensure that his followers would not be obsessed with 'worldly things' in this life. So he made sure that they have plenty of worldly things to pursue in heaven.
The relevant verses from the Koran are:

Koran 22:23
As for those who have faith and who do good work, God will admit them to gardens watered by running streams. They shall be decked with pearls and bracelets of gold, and arrayed in garments of silk.

Koran 43:68-73
Enter ye the Garden, Ye and your wives, in beauty and rejoicing. To them will be passed round, dishes and goblets of gold: there will be there all that soul could desire, all that the eyes could delight in: and ye shall abide there in..

Koran 55:70-77
..They shall recline on green cushions and fine carpets. Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?

Koran 44:51-55
As for the righteous, they shall be lodged in peace together amidst gardens and fountains, arrayed in rich silks and fine brocade...

Koran 55:54-55
They will recline on carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade...

Koran 56:7-40
They shall recline on jeweled couches..

Koran 76:13-21
..They shall be arrayed in garments of fine green silk and rich brocade, and adorned with bracelets of silver..

Mohammed's promise of an Islamic Paradise that glittered with the fulfillment of all sorts of worldly desires and sense enjoyment was nothing but a sinister ploy to recruit those who had no hope or expectation of ever getting these things in their present lives. Knowing that they are assured of such a Paradise simply because they follow Islam, Muslims can go around committing murder, rape plunder and loot. It is the picture of this paradise that has motivated Muslims over the centuries to cut down people of other religions, to desecrate their places of worship and mistreat them in the name of Allah. Even after death, the spiritually deprived Prophet of Islam could not see beyond wine, women and food, leave alone exploring spiritual heights of the soul.

A brief biography of the Shaikh

Muhammad Nasir-ud-deen, better known as Shaikh Al-Albaani, was son of a famous scholar Al-Hajj Nooh Ibn Aadam Najaatee. He was recognized by the people of knowledge as a learned *Muhaddith (scholar of Hadeeth) and a *Faqeeh (scholar of Fiqh) of our century. Shaikh Al-Albaani was born in 1332 A.H. (C.E. 1914). At the age of 86, in 1420 A.H. (C.E. 1999) he passed away from this world. His loss is being felt by many respected Muslim leaders and scholars. Some of his admirers were the Chief Muftee of Saudi Arabia - Shaikh 'Abdul-'Azeez Ibn 'Abdillaah; the former Muftee of Saudi Arabia - Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Ibraheem; Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Saalih; Shaikh 'Abdullah Ibn Jibreen and others. One of his repeatedly printed book on the Fiqh is 'Tahdheer-us-Saajid min Ittikhaadh al-Quboor Masaajid' (Warning the Worshippers against taking graves as a Place of Worship). His two books on Hadeeths 'Selselatu Alahadeeth Alsaheha' (chain of authentic hadeeths) and 'Shelsalat Alahadeeth Aldaeefah' (chain of weak hadeeths) are regarded as the excellent reference books on the subject. These volumes were produced by late Al-Albaani after going through the large amount of Hadith books and verifying the authenticated chains of narrations for thousands of Hadeeths and their indexes. Shaikh Al-Albaani was in charge of the teaching of the subject of Mustalalhahul Hadeeth (the science of Hadeeth) for three years at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia. One of his better students is Dr. Imam Muzammil Siddiqui of Southern California, who spoke to me very highly of his teacher Al-Albaani, at the recent ISNA Conference (2001) in Vancouver, B.C.

CAUTION

It is self-evident after this that I say:

The Sunnah which has an important bearing on Islamic Law is only the Sunnah confirmed by scientific channels, and authentic chains of narration's known to the learned in regard to hadeeths and the background of the narrators.

It is not the one which is found in different works of Tafseers (commentaries of The Qur'an) and Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), and in different writings of longing, intimidation, advices, and admonitions, etc...

They contain weak, spurious, and fabricated hadeeths, of which Islam absolves, like the story of 'Harut and Marut,' and the story of 'gharanik.' I have a special letter which makes it void and it is printed (6). A major part of it is recorded in two huge books namely "A chain of weak and fabricated hadeeths and their evil impact on the community." Their number up to date have reached approximately four thousand hadeeths (7).

It is obligatory on the learned, especially those who spread the knowledge of fiqh and legal opinions among the public, that they shouldn't dare to argue with hadeeth unless it is well-attested. Books of jurisprudence, which they refer to, are normally filled with traditions which are not well-attested, nor have any bases, as is well-known to the learned.

I have begun an important project, and I think it will be of use to those occupied with jurisprudence, and I will name it: "Weak and Fabricated Hadeeths in the Major Jurisprudence 'fiqh' Books," by which I mean:

Al-Hidayah, by Al-Marghinani, in Hanafi fiqh,
Al-Modawwanah, by Ibnil-Qasim, in Maliki fiqh,
Sharhul-wajeez, by Al-rafiee, in Shafiee fiqh,
Al-Mughni, by Ibn Quddamah, in Hanbali fiqh, and
Bidayatul Mujtahid, by Ibn Rushd-al-Andalusi, in comparative fiqh.
I regret that I did not get the opportunity to finish it, because the journal "Al-Wa'e-al-Islami" of Kuwait which promised to publish it, when perused it, didn't print it.
Although I missed this opportunity, perhaps I will succeed on another occasion, Allah willing, to offer to my brethren occupied with jurisprudence a precise learned course to help them to facilitate their knowledge of the different categories of hadeeth with reference to various sources from books on hadeeth, with an explanation of its special nature and character and reliance on them. Allah is the source of success.

It is said that the Jew Labeed ibn al-A’sam was able to able to obtain something from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) [for the purpose of witchcraft] by the help of a Jewish slave woman who used to enter the houses of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Does this mean that it is permissible to employ the services of Jews?
What is the meaning of the expulsion of the Jews as narrated in the ahaadeeth? I hope that you could explain the presence of the Jews in Madeenah, as it is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) expelled them from the city?

Question:

Aslamoaliakum.

I have been offered a job at a Bank, and I am not sure whether I should work there or not, because the bank makes money from interest (Riba). Please tell me whether working there is allowed (Jaaiz), or not.

Praise be to Allaah.

You will find the answer in the hadeeth of Jaabir, may Allaah be pleased with him, who said: "The Messenger of Allaah cursed the one who consumes riba (interest or usury), the one who gives it, the one who writes it down and the one who witnesses it. He said: 'All of them are equal in sin.'" (Reported by Muslim, may Allaah have mercy on him, in his Saheeh, no. 1598)

Commenting on this hadeeth, al-Nawawi, may Allaah have mercy on him, said: This is clearly a prohibition of the writing down or witnessing of a contract between the two parties involved in a riba-based deal. It also includes a prohibition of helping others to commit wrong acts. And Allaah knows best.

It is inevitable that the employee in a riba-based bank will play a part in riba dealings one way or another, even if he is just a security guard. Maybe Allaah will help you, my brother, if you are patient, to find halaal employment. (Interpretation of the meaning) "… And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty)." [al-Talaaq 65:2]

If the bank you mention is based on riba (interest, usury), then it is not permitted to work in it, because of the hadeeth narrated by Jaabir, who said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who gives it, the one who writes it down and the ones who witness it. He said: ‘They are all the same.’" (Reported by Muslim in his Saheeh, 2995). We ask Allaah to compensate you with something better.

I am working in a software development house. Recently I was offered by the company to go to XXX for on a one year contract. I showed my willingness to them. But after few days I was told that I will have to work for XXX Bank. I know its Haram to work for an interest based organization like a bank. If an accountant who works in a company, dealing with its budgets etc., refuses to write down or record riba (interest), they will throw him out and jobs are hard to find. Can this in any way be regarded as being forced to do something, or does he have to leave that job?

Praise be to Allaah. We put this question to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah preserve him, who replied as follows: No, that is not a kind of being forced to do something. Question: You mean that the threat of being sacked is not a kind of being forced? Answer: It is not a kind of being forced, because this is not the only kind of work that Allaah created. Question: But from people’s experience, a man may look for work for a year or two years, with debts piling up all the time, and never finding any work in all that time. Could this be a reason for adopting a lenient attitude and allowing people to take this kind of work? Answer: No, this is not an excuse, because if it were, we could say that the poor man who needs money to build a house or get married would be allowed to deal with riba (and this is not the case). It is not permissible for you to do work which involves carrying pork and delivering it to the people who are going to eat it. Because by doing so you are taking part and cooperating in sin. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Help you one another in al-birr and al-taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression…" [al-Maa’idah 5:2]
We ask Allaah to help you find acceptable work and a halaal income, for He is the All-Hearing Who answers prayers.

"… And whoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine…" [al-Talaaq 65:2]

At work - I am a cashier, and there are Christmas cards with shirk on them "Jesus is God - and Loves You" etc...
If a customer brings these to me, and I ring him up and put the money in the register - am I a kaafir?
I hate the shirk, ......., ......, am I a kaafir?

Answer:


Al-hamdu lillaah

As long as you are a true believer, who believes in the oneness of Allah, the Most Gracious, and who has not committed any act that would expel you from the religion of Islam, and as long as you hate ! shirk and (the blasphemy of) Christianity, then you are a Muslim and not a kaafir. However, you must realize that it is unacceptable for a Muslim to aid or abet the kuffaar (non-believers) by any means or medium relating to the celebration of their holiday occasions. This would encompass selling items that are used in their celebrations. Sheikh ul-Islam Ahmad ibn Abdul-Haleem ibn Taymiya (may Allaah have mercy upon him) in his classic and monumental book entitled Iqtidaa’ Al-Siraat Al-Mustaqeem Mukhalafat As-haab Al-Jaheem (In Pursuit of the Straight Path by Contradicting the People of the Hellfire) said:
"As for a Muslim selling to them (the non-believers) items that they use to celebrate their holiday occasions, such as food, clothes, perfumes, etc., or offering such items as gifts, is a way of helping them celebrate their "unlawful" holidays. This idea is based on the fundamental principle that states that it is unacceptable (for a Muslim) to sell the kuffaar grapes or juice which they will use to produce wine or alcoholic beverages. By the same token it is also unacceptable (for a Muslim) to sell them weapons that will be used to fight Muslims.

He then presented an argument presented by Abdul-Malik bin Habeeb (among the scholars of Al Malakiyya madh-hab) in which he said "Don’t you see that it is forbidden for a Muslim to sell Christians any item that benefits or concerns their holidays? Not meat, nor food (eaten with bread), nor clothes, nor should they even be lent an animal (to ride on). They should not be helped in any way that relates to their holidays because this would be considered a form of glorifying their shirk (blasphemy) and supporting them in their apostasy and disbelief…." I am a committed Muslim and I have a beard. I own a barber shop for men. This is my profession, and it means that I shave my customers’ beards and use dryers to style their hair. What is the Islamic ruling on this?

It is forbidden for a Muslim to shave his own beard because of the saheeh reports that indicate that this is forbidden. It is also forbidden for another man to shave a person’s beard, because this entails cooperating in sin, which is forbidden in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning): "… do not help one another in sin and transgression…" [al-Maa’idah 5:2]
It is permissible for you to comb and style men’s hair, and apply oils and perfume to it, but it is not permissible for you to do this for women, except for those who are your mahrams (close relatives to whom marriage is forbidden).

please tell me if it is halal to have a job where the non-muslim customers often come in and ask me to copy and manipulate images for them (i.e pictures of people and animals sometimes)? I am working this job assuming it to be halal until you tell me otherwise (or anyone tells me with daleel). and if you tell me to quit, would i be able to keep the job until i could find a replacement?

Praise be to Allaah. In Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah al-‘Ilmiyyah wa’l-Iftaa, it says the following: "Making images of animate beings is haraam and earnings from doing this are haraam. "When Allaah forbids a thing, He also forbids its price. Making images of animate beings is forbidden, as it was reported in the saheeh evidence. Therefore earnings from doing this are unclean and it is not permissible to consume them. An exception is made in the case of images that are necessary, such as photos for ID documents and photos used to track down criminals and so on. It is permissible to make these images and receive payment for doing so. The one who is asking this question could work only with pictures of things that are not animate, or he can try to look for another job. Whoever gives up a thing for the sake of Allaah, Allaah will compensate him with something better.

What is the ruling on one who works in a restaurant where haraam drinks are sold, but he avoids preparing or carrying these drinks to customers, but he continues to serve the customers if they ask for food and drinks which are not haraam? Taking into account the fact that I pass by people who are drinking them and I see those who are serving them, as it is one place. What is the ruling on the Muslim who deals in them for the purpose of attracting customers? What is the ruling on serving pork to customers when working in that restaurant, as a service and work for the purpose of earning a living? What is the ruling on the owner of a restaurant who has pork and earns money from it?

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly: it is haraam to work and earn a living by helping people to consume haraam things such as alcohol and pork. The payment for that is haraam, because this is a kind of cooperating in sin and transgression, and Allaah prohibited that when He said (interpretation of the meaning):
"…but do not help one another in sin and transgression…" [al-Maa’idah 5:2]

We advise you to keep away from working in this and similar restaurants, because this will keep you from helping in anything that Allaah has forbidden.

Secondly: it is forbidden for a Muslim to sell haraam things such as pork and alcohol. It was reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
"When Allaah forbids a thing, He also forbids its price."
Provision and the attraction of customers are things that are in the hand of Allaah, and they are not to be found in selling haraam things. The Muslim must fear Allaah and follow His commands and heed His prohibitions. "And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine" [al-Talaaq 65:2-3 – interpretation of the meaning]

Question #14095: Ruling on playing chess


Question:

I wana ask if chess(the type played now a days)is allowed in Islam or not?

Praise be to Allaah.

"When chess distracts us from what we are obliged to do both inwardly and outwardly, it is haraam according to the consensus of the scholars – such as when it distracts from an obligatory duty such as prayer or anything that is necessary in the interests of oneself or one’s family, or enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, or upholding ties of kinship or honouring one’s parents, or any obligations connected to positions of authority or leadership, etc. In this case it is haraam according to the consensus of the scholars. Similarly, if it involves anything that is haraam such as telling lies, swearing false oaths, cheating, wrongdoing or helping in wrongdoing, or other forbidden things, then it is haraam according to the consensus of the Muslims." (Adapted from Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 32/218, 240). But if it does not distract us from our obligations or involve anything that is haraam, then there is a difference of scholarly opinion concerning the ruling. The majority of scholars (Abu Haneefah, Maalik, Ahmad and some of the companions of al-Shaafa’i) said that it is also haraam, basing that view on the evidence of the Book of Allaah and the opinions of the Sahaabah.

The evidence of the Qur’aan is the words (interpretation of the meaning):

"O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), and gambling, and Al-Ansaab [stone altars set up for sacrifices to idols etc], and Al-Azlaam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytaan’s (Satan’s) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful.
Shaytaan (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allaah and from As-Salaah (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain?"
[al-Maa’idah 5:90-91]

Al-Qurtubi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: "This aayah indicates that it is haraam to play dice or chess, whether that involves gambling or not, because when Allaah forbade alcohol He explained the reason for that, which is ‘Shaytaan (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allaah and from As-Salaah (the prayer).’ So every kind of game in which a little leads to a lot and stirs up enmity and hatred between those who are devoted to it and prevents them from remembering Allaah and praying, is like drinking alcohol, which implies that it must be haraam like alcohol." (al-Jaami’ li Ahkaam al-Qur’aan, 6/291).

With regard to the views of the Sahaabah: It was narrated that ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allaah be pleased with him) passed by some people who were playing chess. He said, "What are these images, to which you are devoted? [cf. al-Anbiya’ 21:52]" Imaam Ahmad said: "The soundest comment on chess what that which was said by ‘Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him)." ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) was asked about chess and he said, "It is worse than dice." "Dice" refers to what is used nowadays for playing backgammon, which is played on a special table.

It was narrated in the ahaadeeth that it is haraam. Abu Dawood (4938) narrated from Abu Moosa al-Ash’ari that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever plays dice has disobeyed Allaah and His Messenger." (Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 4129)

Muslim (2260) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever plays dice is like one who has dipped his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig." Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: "This hadeeth is quoted as evidence by al-Shaafa’i and the majority of scholars to prove that playing dice is haraam. The phrase ‘dipped his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig’ refers to eating it, and this simile is used to show that this is haraam because it is haraam to eat that." What some of the scholars have said about the prohibition of chess: Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: "Chess is like dice in that it is forbidden." (al-Mughni, 14/155), Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: "The evil consequences of chess are greater than the evil consequences of dice. Everything that points to the prohibition of dice points to the prohibition of chess even more so… This is the view of Maalik and his companions, of Abu Haneefah and his companions, of Ahmad and his companions, and the view of the majority of the Taabi’een… It is not known that any of the Sahaabah permitted it or played it. Allaah protected them from that. Everything that is attributed to any of them and says that he played it – such as Abu Hurayrah – is a fabrication and lie against the Sahaabah and is rejected by anyone who knows how the Sahaabah really were and by anyone who has sufficient knowledge to examine the reports critically. How could the best generation and the best of mankind after the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) permit playing something that prevents people from remembering Allaah and from praying, and is worse in this regard than alcohol when the player gets immersed in it, as we see in real life? How could the Lawgiver forbid dice but permit chess, which is many times worse?…" (al-Furoosiyah, 303, 305, 311).

Al-Dhahabi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: "With regard to chess, most of the scholars say that it is haraam to play it, whether that is for money or not. If it is played for money then it is indisputably gambling. Even if it is not played for money it is still gambling and haraam, according to most of the scholars… al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about playing chess, is it forbidden or permissible? He (may Allaah have mercy on him) replied that if it makes a person miss praying on time or he plays for money, then it is haraam, otherwise it is makrooh according to al-Shaafa’i and haraam according to others…" (al-Kabaa’ir, 89-90).

Question #12567: Ruling on playing cards without gambling


Question:

Why is playing cards – I mean only playing, without gambling – counted as haraam? We are not playing for money



Answer:


Praise be to Allaah. The Standing Committee was asked about playing cards if that does not distract people from prayer and there is no money involved. They answered: Playing cards is not permitted, even if there is no money involved, because the problem with that is that it distracts people from remembering Allaah (dhikr) and from prayer. Even if they claim that this is not the case, then it is still a means that may lead to gambling which is expressly forbidden in the Qur’aan.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), and gambling, and Al-Ansaab (stone altars for sacrifices to false gods) and Al-Azlaam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytaan’s (Satan’s) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful"[al-Maa’idah 5:90] These cards have an effect on society, for the bonds of a strong society are achieved by means of two things: following the commands of Allaah and heeding His prohibitions. A society disintegrates when it neglects any of those duties or does any of those things that are forbidden. These cards form one of the factors which have an effect on society. They cause people to neglect prayer in congregation, and they generate alienation, breaking of ties, hatred and negligence through the committing of haraam actions, and they make people too lazy to earn a living. With regard to the history of these playing cards: No one really knows who invented playing cards or when or where they were invented. It has been said that they are of Chinese or Indian origin, or otherwise. But historians are agreed that they came to Europe from the Middle East in the latter part of the Middle Ages. Experts also say that there is agreement that playing cards have clearly evolved from that time until now. Playing cards made their first appearance in Europe in Andalusia, and were brought to northern Spain in the eleventh century CE. The traditional deck of cards in Spain consisted of 40 cards, including the numbers 1 to 7, plus three characters, the highest of which was the "ruler", followed by the "deputy", then the "scribe" or "knight." In the sixteenth century, the French changed the cards, replacing the "ruler" with the king, the "deputy" with the queen, and the "knight" with the jack. They also added three new numbers, so that the deck now consisted of 52 cards. In the seventeenth century, the Germans added a fourth character, the joker.

We have quoted above the fatwa on playing with these cards. It may also be added that playing cards is devoid of any of the goals of recreational activities as required in Islam; it does not teach any skill that is needed for jihad or any useful knowledge or bring any social benefit or relaxation that will calm the nerves. Rather it is a game that has nothing good in it; it causes arguments and simply kills time. It is based on speculation and chance, and it is like playing with dice, in that it leads to disputes and fighting, and it is like alcohol and gambling.

Based on the above, it would not be farfetched to suggest that it is haraam rather than makrooh, by analogy with dice, because both are based on chance and both lead to arguments. The same view was favoured by Shaykh Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, and it is the view of our contemporary scholars, and of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen among the fuqaha’ of al-Najd, who transmitted it from his shaykhs. This is based on the fact that it leads to enmity and hatred, and because it is a great waste of time and it distracts people from remembering Allaah (dhikr) and keeps them from worshipping and obeying Him. This view is further supported by the fact that one of the French kings issued orders banning people from playing cards during the day, and stating that everyone who went against this order was to be arrested and punished. That was because the French people loved playing cards too much, to such an extent that they were neglecting their work in order to play cards. The punishment dictated by this French king was not just a brief imprisonment, he also added a severe beating as a deterrent to others. Yet despite these decrees and others, he did not succeed in uprooting the habit of playing cards; the only result was that the people started to play in secret rather than openly. The Prophet said, "There will emerge from the East some people who will recite the Qur'an but it will not exceed their throats and who will go out of (renounce) the religion (Islam) as an arrow passes through the game, and they will never come back to it unless the arrow, comes back to the middle of the bow (by itself) (i.e., impossible)." The people asked, "What will their signs be?" He said, "Their sign will be the habit of shaving (of their beards)." (Fateh Al-Bari, Page 322, Vol. 17th)


Hadith - Muwatta 51.7

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam that Ata ibn Yasar told him that the Messenger of Allah was in the mosque when a man came in with disheveled hair and beard. The Messenger of Allah motioned with his hand that he should be sent out to groom his hair and beard. The man did so and then returned. The Messenger of Allah said, "Isn't this better than that one of you should come with his head disheveled, as if he were a shaytan?"

Believe that not shaving is what is best for the Muslim. Medical reports reveal that the beard protects the tonsils from sunstroke. Shaving of the beard also harms the skin.

She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became Allright, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly ALLAH'S APOSTLE CAME TO ME IN THE FORENOON AND MY MOTHER HANDED ME OVER TO HIM, AND AT THAT TIME I WAS A GIRL OF NINE YEARS OF AGE.

Narrated Hisham's father: Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and HE CONSUMMATED THAT MARRIAGE WHEN SHE WAS NINE YEARS OLD.


Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:

Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and HE CONSUMMATED HIS MARRIAGE WHEN SHE WAS NINE YEARS OLD, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

Malik related to me from Said ibn Abi Said al-Maqburi from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "It is not halal for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel the distance of a day and night without a man who is her mahram."

I said, "O Allah's Apostle! What is wrong?" He said, "What is this pillow?" I said, "I have prepared this pillow for you, so that you may recline on it." He said, "DON'T YOU KNOW THAT ANGELS DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE WHEREIN THERE ARE PICTURES; AND WHOEVER MAKES A PICTURE WILL BE PUNISHED ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION and will be asked to give life to (what he has created)?"


Volume 4, Book 54, Number 448:

Narrated Abu Talha:

I heard Allah's Apostle saying; "ANGELS (OF MERCY) DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE WHEREIN THERE IS A DOG OR A PICTURE OF A LIVING CREATURE (A HUMAN BEING OR AN ANIMAL)."

Volume 4, Book 54, Number 449:

Narrated Busr bin Said:

That Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani narrated to him something in the presence of Said bin 'Ubaidullah Al-Khaulani who was brought up in the house of Maimuna the wife of the Prophet. Zaid narrated to them that Abu Talha said that the Prophet said, "THE ANGELS (OF MERCY) DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE WHEREIN THERE IS A PICTURE." Busr said, "Later on Zaid bin Khalid fell ill and we called on him. To our surprise we saw a curtain decorated with pictures in his house. I said to Ubaidullah Al-Khaulani, "Didn't he (i.e. Zaid) tell us about the (prohibition of) pictures?" He said, "But he excepted the embroidery on garments. Didn't you hear him?" I said, "No." He said, "Yes, he did."

Volume 4, Book 54, Number 450:

Narrated Salim's father:

Once Gabriel promised the Prophet (that he would visit him, but Gabriel did not come) and later on he said, "WE, ANGELS, DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE WHICH CONTAINS A PICTURE OR A DOG."

Volume 4, Book 54, Number 539:

Narrated Abu Talha:

The Prophet said, "ANGELS DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE WITCH HAS EITHER A DOG OR A PICTURE IN IT."

Volume 5, Book 59, Number 338:

Narrated Ibn Abbas:

Abu Talha, a companion of Allah's Apostle and one of those who fought at Badr together with Allah's Apostle told me that Allah's Apostle said. "ANGELS DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE IN WHICH THERE IS A DOG OR A PICTURE" He meant the images of creatures that have souls.

Volume 7, Book 72, Number 843:

Narrated Salim's father:

Once Gabriel promised to visit the Prophet but he delayed and the Prophet got worried about that. At last he came out and found Gabriel and complained to him of his grief (for his delay). Gabriel said to him, "WE DO NOT ENTER A PLACE IN WHICH THERE IS A PICTURE OR A DOG."

Volume 7, Book 72, Number 844:

Narrated 'Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet)

I bought a cushion having pictures on it. When Allah's Apostle saw it, he stopped at the gate and did not enter. I noticed the signs of hatred (for that) on his face! I said, "O Allah's Apostle! I turn to Allah and His Apostle in repentance! What sin have I committed?" He said, "What about this cushion?" I said, 'I bought it for you to sit on and recline on." Allah's Apostle said, "THE MAKERS OF THESE PICTURES WILL BE PUNISHED (SEVERELY) ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION AND IT WILL BE SAID TO THEM, 'MAKE ALIVE WHAT YOU HAVE CREATED.'" HE ADDED, "ANGELS DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE IN WHICH THERE ARE PICTURES."



SAHIH MUSLIM:

Book 024, Number 5246:

A'isha reported that Gabriel (peace be upon him) made a promise with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) to come at a definite hour; that hour came but he did not visit him. And there was in his hand (in the hand of Allah's Apostle) a staff. He threw it from his hand and said: Never has Allah or His messengers (angels) ever broken their promise. Then he cast a glance (and by chance) found a puppy under his cot and said: 'A'isha, when did this dog enter here? She said: BY Allah, I don't know He then commanded and it was turned out. Then Gabriel came and Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to him: You promised me and I waited for you. but you did not come, whereupon he said: It was the dog in your house which prevented me (to come), for WE (ANGELS) DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE IN WHICH THERE IS A DOG OR A PICTURE.

Book 024, Number 5248:

Maimuna reported that one morning Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was silent with grief. Maimuna said: Allah's Messenger, I find a change in your mood today. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Gabriel had promised me that he would meet me tonight, but he did not meet me. By Allah, he never broke his promises, and Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) spent the day in this sad (mood). Then it occurred to him that there had been a puppy under their cot. He commanded and it was turned out. He then took some water in his hand and sprinkled it at that place. When it was evening Gabriel met him and he said to him: you promised me that you would meet me the previous night. He said: Yes, but WE DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE IN WHICH THERE IS A DOG OR A PICTURE. Then on that very morning he commanded the killing of the dogs until he announced that the dog kept for the orchards should also be killed, but he spared the dog meant for the protection of extensive fields (or big gardens).

Book 024, Number 5249:

Abu Talha reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) having said: ANGELS DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE IN WHICH THERE IS A DOG OR A PICTURE.

Book 024, Number 5250:

Abu Talha reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: ANGELS DO NOT ENTER THE HOUSE IN WHICH THERE IS A DOG OR A STATUE.

Book 024, Number 5252:

Abu Tilha, the Companion of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him), reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) having said: Verily, ANGELS DO NOT ENTER THE HOUSE IN WHICH THERE IS A PICTURE. Busr reported: Zaid fell ill and we went to inquire after his health and (found) that there was hanging at his door a curtain with a picture on it. I said to 'Ubaidullah Khaulani who had been under the patronage of Maimuna, the wife of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him): Did not Zaid himself inform us before about (the Holy Prophet's command pertaining to the pictures), whereupon 'Ubaidullah said: Did you not hear when he said:" Except the prints on the cloth"?

Book 024, Number 5253:

Abu Talha reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: ANGELS DO NOT ENTER A HOUSE IN WHICH THERE IS A PICTURE. Busr said: Zaid b. Khalid fell sick and we visited him to inquire after his health. As we were in his house (we saw) a curtain having pictures on it. I said to 'Ubaidullah Khaulani: Did he not narrate to us (the Holy Prophet's command pertaining to pictures)? Thereupon he said: He in fact did that (but he also said): Except the prints upon the cloth. Did you not hear this? I said: No, whereupon He said: He had in fact made a mention of this.

Book 024, Number 5254:

Abu Talha Ansari reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: ANGELS DO NOT ENTER THE HOUSE IN WHICH THERE IS A PICTURE OR PORTRAITS. I came to 'A'isha and said to her: This is a news that I have received that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) had said: ANGELS DO NOT ENTER THE HOUSE IN WHICH THERE IS A PICTURE OR A DOG, (and further added) whether she had heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) making a mention of it. She said: No (I did not hear this myself), but I narrate to you what I saw him doing. I bear testimony to the fact that he (the Holy Prophet) set out for an expedition. I took a carpet and screened the door with it. When he (the Holy Prophet) came back he saw that carpet and I perceived signs of disapproval on his face. He pulled it until it was torn or it was cut (into pieces) and he said: God has not commanded us to clothe stones and clay. We cut it (the curtain) and prepared two pillows out of it by stuffing them with the fibre of date-palms and he (the Holy Prophet) did not find fault with it.

CONTRADICTIONS IN QURAN'S INHERITANCE LAW

(Koran 4:11)

Allah directs you as regards your children's
(Inheritance): to the male a portion equal to
that of two females: if only daughters, two or
more, Their share is two-thirds of the inheritance;
if only one, her, share is a half.
For parents, a sixth share of the inheritance to
each, if the deceased left children; if no
children, and the parents are the heirs, the
mother has a third; if the deceased left brothers
the mother has a sixth...

(Koran 4:12)

In what your wives leave, your share is a half,
if they leave no child; but if they leave a child,
ye get a fourth; after payment of legacies and
debts. In what ye leave, their share is a fourth,
If ye leave no child; but if ye leave a child, they
get an eighth; after payment.


(Koran 4:176)

...If it is a man that dies, leaving a sister
but no child, she shall have half the inheritance:
If a woman dies and leaves no child, her brother
takes her inheritance: If there are two sisters,
they shall have two-thirds of the inheritance.
If there are brothers and sisters, the male takes
twice the share of the female.


Let us suppose that a man dies and leaves behind three
daughters, two parents and his wife.

According to the verses stated above the three daughters together will receive 2/3 of the share, the parents will receive 1/3 of the share and the wife will receive 1/8 of the share.

Do the math once again: 2/3 + 1/3 + 1/8 = 9/8 = 1.125.

The distribution of the property adds up to more than the available property! How
can this distribution be possible?

Once again Mohammed displays his inability to add. Well, if a person can't add integers then it is improbable that he would know how to add fractions!

Another example: A man dies and leaves behind his mother, his wife and two sisters.

According to what Mohammed has stated in Koran 4:11-12 and 4:176 the mother will receive 1/3 of the property, the wife will receive 1/4 of the property and the sisters will receive 2/3 of the property.

Let us add up the fractions again: 1/3 + 2/3 + 1/4 = 5/4 = 1.25 and once again it adds up to more than the available property!

ALLAH'S DAY EQUALS 1,000 YEARS OR 50,000 YEARS?

(Koran 22:47)

...A day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning.

(Koran 32:5)

...To Him, on a Day, The space whereof will be a thousands
years of your reckoning.

In the above verses it states clearly that a day of Allah is equal to a 1000 earth years. However, there is a contradiction in the verse stated below.

(Koran 70:4)
The angels and the Spirit ascend unto him in a day the measure whereof is fifty thousand years.

So, which one is it?

Is the day of Allah equal to 1,000 earth years
or 50,000 earth years?

(Koran 39:73)
And those who feared their Lord will be led to THE Garden...

(Koran 41:30)
...But receive the glad tidings of THE Garden that which ye were promised!

Be ye foremost in seeking forgiveness from your Lord, and A
Garden...

(Koran 79:41)
Their abode will be THE Garden.

In the above verses Mohammed refers to only ONE Garden of
Paradise, but in the verses below he contradicts himself once again by saying that there are MANY Gardens of paradise.

(Koran 18:31)
For them will be GARDENS of Eternity...

(Koran 22:23)
Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds.
To GARDENS beneath which rivers flow...

(Koran 35:33)
GARDENS of Eternity will they Enter...


(Koran 78:32)
GARDENS enclosed, and Grapevines;

It looks like Mohammed could not make up his mind about the
number of Gardens of Eternity in heaven.

HOW MANY GROUPS OF PEOPLE DURING THE LAST JUDGEMENT?


(Koran 56:7)
And ye shall be sorted out into THREE classes.

The contradictory verses:

(Koran 90:18-19)
Such are the Companions of the right hand.
But those who reject our signs, they are
the companions of the left hand.

(Koran 99:6-8)
On the Day will men Proceed in companies sorted
out, to be shown the deeds that they had done.
Then shall anyone has done an ounce of good,
see it! And anyone who Has done an ounce of evil,
shall see it.

At first, Mohammed says that during the Last Judgement people
will be divided into 3 groups.

But in the later verses he seems to have changed his mind to 2 groups -- the group that has done evil and the group that has done good.

WHO TAKES THE SOULS AFTER DEATH?

Sometimes Mohammed states (1) that THE Angel of Death takes the souls after death and (2) at another he says that there are ANGELS who take the souls at the time of death and (3) at yet another time Mohammed states that it is in
fact Allah who takes the souls.

The relevant verses are listed below.

(Koran 32:11)
THE ANGEL of death, put in charge of you will take your souls
then shall ye be brought back to your Lord.

(Koran 47:27)
But how will it be when the ANGELS take their souls at death,
and smite their faces and their backs?

(Koran 39:42)
It is Allah that takes the souls of men at death; and those that die not He takes during their sleep...
